1) All photographs must have been taken with a
camera using 8 x 11 film, regardless of camera brand or model.
2) The contest is open to MHS members only. Keep
in mind however, membership to the MHS is free. So if you are
not a member, just go to Minox.org
and join today!
3) Photos may be scanned from slides, negatives or prints. Scanned,
digitized photographs should be emailed to Contest2006@Minox.org.
The copyright to all images is retained by the photographer. Photographer/owner
grants the MHS and Minox GmbH non-exclusive publication rights.
4) The MHS reserves the right to request proof of negative size.
"Proof" will be in the form of a contact sheet or whatever
method is deemed appropriate.
5 ) Each contestant may submit up to five images in each of the
two main contest categories (for a total of 10 actual images):
- Black and White
- Color
For the Portfolio competition, simply send a seperate email submission
and include the file NAMES in the email (as they appear in the
Black & White, and Color categories). Do not send the actual
images. You may specify FOUR to FIVE images total for the Portfolio
competition. You must have at least 1 Black & White and 1
Color photo.
6 ) Images are to be sent to Contest2006@Minox.org.
1 category per email please!
The email SUBJECT *MUST* contain the following information:
Last Name of Photographer & Category
Examples:
Feldman - Black & White
Feldman - Color
Feldman - Portfolio
The Portfolio email will contain file NAMES from the Black &
Wite and Color submissions.
7) Emails containing photographs must be date stamped no later
than December 1, 2006 in order to
be eligible.
When submitting images, please submit as much of the following
information that you have available:
Title: (Title of Image)
Category: (Selected contest category for your image)
Photo by: (Name of photographer)
Camera: (Camera model and manufacturer)
Date: (Date photograph was taken)
Film: (Film used)
Exposure: (Shutter speed / "Automatic")

Not supplying information in this format will slow down the posting
of your images. You are free to leave out any information you
choose not to give.
8) The 2006 Contest is open to all MHS Members.
Members of the Executive Committee and their immediate family
members may enter, but are ineligible to win physical prizes -
only glory may be awarded. Judges are eligible to enter the Member's
Choice competition only, but are ineligible to win physical prizes.
All prizes will be awarded.
9) A maximum of 1 award per entrant. Prizes are given at the sole
discretion of the Judges. Prizes to be announced.
10) Photographs can be of any subject matter, however, we will
not accept photographs containing pornography, or depicting illegal
acts, or acts of gratuitous violence. The MHS judging committee
reserves the right to reject any submission deemed inappropriate.
11) Contest entries will be posted to the MHS Gallery/Website
subject to web space availability.
The MHS reserves the right to substitute prizes as necessary.
12) Prizes will be awarded at the sole discretion of the judges.
The decisions of the Judges (to be announced) are final.
13) Photographs awarded prizes in previous MHS competitions are
ineligible for this years contest.
14) These rules are subject to change, at the discretion of the
Contest Committee.
